For those of you wondering how I did the galaxy... →
I did deviate some and used a few ideas of my own, such as adding more colors.
I also used a mix of fabric and acrylic paint because the fabric paint tends to not stand out as much.
After playing around with several types of brushes, I discovered that a round brush works best for the effect you want. I used an old kabuki blush brush for this particular pattern.
So go do it and have fun!...
